Alex Gibney’s documentary about Musk premiered this week at the Venice International Film Festival. Around the same time, a 48-second teaser trailer for the upcoming film appeared on YouTube.
The teaser layers voiced commentary on Elon Musk — from the “greatest capitalist in history” to “fascist” — over videos of rocket launches. It promises an “unflinching look at Earth’s most unchecked man.”
Over videos of explosions from failed SpaceX launches comes the title: “Musk.”
For the record, Musk himself isn’t happy with the documentary. The Tesla CEO called the film a “hit piece” in August and asked whether Gibney was trying to “bore people to death” with the film’s almost four-hour runtime.

Musk’s comments were before the film’s premiere. “How would you know,” Gibney shot back.
For those not jet-setting to Venice, the film will premiere in select theaters on October 16.
