{"id":30,"date":"2026-05-12T22:07:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T22:07:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/americanhomejournals.com\/?p=30"},"modified":"2026-05-12T22:07:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T22:07:24","slug":"greenlights-david-einhorn-is-betting-on-these-5-turnaround-stocks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/americanhomejournals.com\/?p=30","title":{"rendered":"Greenlight&#8217;s David Einhorn is betting on these 5 turnaround stocks"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\n<p>Greenlight Capital&#8217;s David Einhorn has five US companies he is bullish on \u2014 including two &#8220;sexy&#8221; ones. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/americanhomejournals.com\/?p=28\">From Blackstone to Blue Owl, here\u2019s how the biggest investors are chasing a $900 billion data center opportunity<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the Sohn conference crowd on Tuesday, Einhorn said he has found five companies across different industries in &#8220;transition&#8221; that he believes will emerge stronger from their transformations.<\/p>\n<p>Though the companies face different problems, Einhorn said they each had something resilient within their business models that gives him comfort.<\/p>\n<p>In a presentation riddled with cartoons and soundbites from classic songs like &#8220;Eye of the Tiger,&#8221; Einhorn&#8217;s five picks were: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acadia Healthcare, a mental-health and addiction treatment center conglomerate<\/li>\n<li>Centene, a health insurer primarily focused on administering Obamacare plans<\/li>\n<li>Fluor, a construction and engineering firm<\/li>\n<li>Versant Media, a spinout from Comcast that includes CNBC, MS Now, and other channels<\/li>\n<li>Victoria&#8217;s Secret, the lingerie and women&#8217;s clothing giant <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Einhorn believes these stocks could soar, with prices jumping between 52% (Centene) to 167% (Fluor), but without a singular driver.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/americanhomejournals.com\/?p=26\">I flew 4,400 miles to Warren Buffett\u2019s big bash. Even after retiring, he\u2019s still the main attraction, and his legacy will live on.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For some companies, such as Fluor, macro tailwinds \u2014 such as a large infrastructure boom \u2014 will drive earnings growth. Others have specific changes that will help them bounce back from a tough run or stand out in a crowded sector. Or it could simply be a matter of price point.<\/p>\n<p>Versant, Einhorn said, is &#8220;supercheap, and we find that very sexy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Victoria&#8217;s Secret, meanwhile, has new leadership that is bringing back its &#8220;sexy DNA,&#8221; Einhorn said, which includes the annual televised fashion show.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, Einhorn \u2014 known for being an ardent short-seller of companies like Tesla \u2014 spent his time in front of the Sohn audience this year pitching with optimism and a smile.
